In our creation and sourcing process we consider the whole production line and everyone involved from start to finish.

We Say No to Fast Fashion

We reject the increase in consumption associated with the low-cost production "Fast Fashion" that has created problems of conservation of natural resources and is highly linked to labor exploitation, extremely low wages and deplorable conditions that mainly affect women and children.100% of our products are made in USA and Puerto Rico. We believe in proximity fashion, the production of our designs is done on demand. Our jewelry pieces are sewn by hand using natural or recycled materials in limited quantities to ensure the highest production standards and to eliminate any excess waste. In this way, we are able to offer exclusive designs, quality of pieces and fair wages that eliminate any gender pay gap. We are engaged with a slow production chain. This is the basis for our values, to ensure workers rights and environmental protection. We support fair wages, no child labor, workers rights, gender equality & grower community.

We plant trees 

11% of all global greenhouse emissions caused by humans are due to deforestation, comparable to the emmissions from all of the passanger vehicles on the planet.

Nature is an untapped solution. Forests are incredibly effective at storing carbon, providing at least a third of the mitigation action needed to prevent the worst climate change scenarios. Yet nature-based solutions receive only 3% of all climate funding.

Natural climate solutions such as restoring degraded forest could create as many as 39 jobs per $1 million invested -that's a job creation rate more than six times higher than oil and gas industry.

We Use Zero Plastic Packaging

Plastic packaging is extremly wasteful and impacts earth's ecosystems, on wich we depend. Do to poor product design and lack of political infraestructure, the majority of plastic waste is sent to landfills or disposed of into the environment.  9.2 billion tons of plastic have been produced, of which only 9 percent has been recycled properly. Because plastic isn't biodegradable, every piece of plastic ever made is still on this planet. Whether it breacks down into microplastics or not, plastic that is either dumped or washed into the ocean are consumed by marine animals. Corporations are supplying the rapidly growing populations with single-use plastic. Plastic packaging is one of the greatest generators of plastic pollution, for its its shortest life-span. 

In Intuition we have a zero plastic packaging policy and all of our packaging materials are made in The USA. Our Kraft Paper Cotton Filled Boxes are 100% sustainable. It is much more sustainable to manufacture kraft paper compared to regular paper. Kraft is produced from all-natural ingredients such as pulp from all types of wood, while conventional paper uses specific woods. Bleaching is also not involved. Our jewelry pouches with natural drawstring are made of 100% cotton in The USA. 

The decorations of our packaging are made up with dried flowers and natural jute fiber, this jute twine is biodegradable, safety and Eco-friendly. Our earring cards components are certified 100% post consumer waste (PCW) made in The USA. Each and every sheet of our seed paper earring card is crafted by hand using recycled fibers and other natural inclusions, like flowers, plants, and 12 varieties of perennial wildflower seeds. 

The tape we use in our packaging is made from 100% recycled content and is water-activated, meaning that the surface isn’t coated in wax to prevent sticking—another environmental benefit. We print our eco-friendly packing tape and boxes with soy inks, an eco-friendly alternative to petroleum based inks. 

Our custom stamps are eco-friendly and reusable for over 10,000 impressions. Soy-based inks are made from soybeans, which is a renewable resource, and printing with these inks produces more vibrant colors, and does not leave behind petroleum based products while decomposing. Soy inks also have low levels of VOCs, which reduces air pollution during the printing process.
